Through The Motions - Lockdown Poetry
Touching on surving one's 20s, first stabs at love, defiance, strength, and self determination in a tone and style unique to the poet; These thirty-four poems will carry you through the whirlwind of emotions that 2020 has been. Taking a lot of convincing to publish, the poet conceded but insisted on using the psedonym 'Bray' as he felt that is exactly what his work was, but we believe so much of it is relevant even when it borders on taboo - as it questions traditional hetero relationship dynamics and begs the question 'Do men not deserve to show themselves as much self-love as society often encourages women to?'
If they do, how comfortable are we with the expression of male self-love in the context of a hetero relationship?
